Our Dedication to the BreedThe Florida Gulf Coast Weimaraner Club (FGCWC) encourages its members and fanciers of the breed to accept the standard for the breed, per the American Kennel Club. The standard was approved in 1971. The breed can best be described by the opening paragraph of the standard, which states: "A medium-sized gray dog, with fine aristocratic features. He should present a picture of grace, speed, stamina, alertness and balance. Above all, the dog's conformation must indicate the ability to work with great speed and endurance in the field." The FGCWC has been in existence
since 1975 and is a member in good standing of the Weimaraner
Club of America. FGCWC has more than 50 members throughout Florida with interests varying from
pet ownership to participation in obedience, field, agility, tracking, community and show events.
It just depends what type of
adventure the dogs and their owners want to experience. |
